Download ZoneMinder
To get started, you'll need to download ZoneMinder for your operating system of choice. Packages make it super easy to install, and we offer the source code for those that want full control.
Ubuntu
Isaac Connor is maintaining a PPA at https://launchpad.net/~iconnor. The packages included in the default Ubuntu repos are out of date, so please use our ppa to get the latest fixes.
We also maintain our own repository at https://zmrepo.zoneminder.com which allows us to continue to support out of support releases of Ubuntu. If you install a package from below, it will automatically setup updates from our zmrepo.

RedHat
If you are a RHEL, Fedora, CentOS or SL user, Andrew Bauer is maintaining zmrepo.
Debian
Bill Bunge maintains an updated Debian installation wiki which makes it very easy to install ZoneMinder on Debian.
We maintain our own repository at https://zmrepo.zoneminder.com. If you install a package from below, it will automatically setup updates from our zmrepo.

Gentoo
ZoneMinder is available just by typing emerge zoneminder. Thanks to the Gentoo web-apps team for making this available.

If you can't use a package, or maybe you just prefer to build everything on your own, ZoneMinder uses the cmake system to build from source. See instructions here.
